Canseco formed in 2004 in Tijuana, Mexico. There, the four curious musicians sailed to create a sound that was both pleasing and original.

They quickly recorded a 4 song demo, played several shows and months later recorded an EP "No se te olvide jamas lo que yo te dije".

Now with a more defined sound, in April-May of 2005 the band embarked on a month long tour in Mexico, giving them more recognition and exposure appearing in several magazines like Switch magazine in which they rank 7 in the Latin popularity chart of July, FHM Mexico, La Mosca and TV shows like Resistencia (Telehit). "Tu estas mas" is still in constant rotation in several radio stations.

In the summer of 2006, Canseco recorder their first album at Blacklodge Recording in Eudora, Kansas. The band's debut album, "El tiempo y la ciudad", will be released in early 2007 under the label Class Music.

Canseco has shared the stage with various bands such as Division Minuscula (Monterrey), Finde (D.F.), Panda (Monterrey), Thermo (Guadalajara), Tolidos (Ciudad Jurez), and many others.
